The Houston, Texas-based company is expected to release its fiscal third-quarter 2025 results after the market closes on Monday, October 27. Ahead of this event, analysts project that WM will report adjusted EPS of $2.03, up 3.6% from $1.96 in the prior-year quarter. It has surpassed Wall Street’s earnings estimates in three of the last four quarters, but missed them on another occasion.

Waste Management shares rose 3.4% following its second-quarter 2025 results on July 28. Adjusted earnings were $1.92 per share and revenue hit $6.43 billion, above estimates. Investors were further encouraged by higher WM prices, continued demand for waste collection and disposal, and efficiency gains from increased automation that reduced labor costs.
The analyst consensus view on WM stock is cautiously optimistic, with an overall rating of “Moderate Buy.” Among the 25 analysts covering the stock, 13 suggest a “strong buy”, one gives a “moderate buy” and 11 offer a “hold” rating. The average analyst price target for Waste Management is $259.68, indicating a potential upside of 18.3% from current levels.
