LeSean McCoy keeps it real in his portrayal of a much-maligned Eagles player.

Regardless of how long you’ve been a Philadelphia Eagles fan or member of the media, you know what to expect. Some call it “passion.” Others believe that there are times when that affinity and affection for this team exceeds respectable lines and becomes crazy.

However you label it, this is where we agree. There may be one or two followers who care that much. There is no one who cares more. They’re a demanding bunch, but once they see their heroes give their all for this team, they’re forever loyal.

LeSean McCoy earned his wings a long time ago. He did it long before a Herculean performance in the middle of a snowstorm. The man affectionately referred to as ‘Shady’ is a member of the Eagles Hall of Fame, and is now being considered for enshrinement in Canton.

Each individual has the right to have their opinion, but they are not equal. Some carry more weight than others. When Shady talks, we listen, and after an uninspired performance from Adoree’ Jackson following Quinyon Mitchell’s injury in Week 6 on Thursday Night Football, McCoy called him out on social media.

Let’s hope LeSean McCoy’s rant inspires more vigorous efforts on the part of

This feels like kicking a man when he’s down, and so here’s an apology for what’s about to be said. Although it still needs to be said. It’s easy to understand why McCoy is upset about that poor tackle attempt.

No Eagles fan or alum will look at that and gently criticize Jackson. Maybe saying “It’s time to retire” is cold and possibly crossing the line, but again, this is Shady speaking. We know where your heart is. We know where your loyalty lies.

Jackson isn’t entirely to blame for the Eagles laying an egg on the New York Giants, but he and Kelee Ringo are among the goats. And we don’t mean GOAT in the positive sense.

This is where positivity comes in because it is necessary. We hope this pushes Jackson to do better and do so consistently in the future. It has been named after a legend. You can validate McCoy’s claims by refusing to answer the call. From what we have seen, we are betting on the former. Let’s hope he proves us right.
