“When we first got here it was COVID, so there was no one here,” Allen said. “We were doing our show, there were no fans, we were walking around and I was looking at all these guys that I looked up to because, as you know, the Raiders were one of my teams when I was younger. Walking around, seeing Freddy B’s name and of course Marcus Allen, I was just waiting for the time to come where I could have my jersey here and now that it’s here and… it’s really cool to have this place in the stadium.”
Allen spent the final four years of his career in Oakland with the Raiders, adding 15 interceptions to his career total of 54 picks. He credits his time working in the Raiders’ tight man coverage defense with putting him over the top and earning him his spot in Canton and now the walls of Allegiant Stadium.
