Liquid Fleet has named James Miller as its new director of sales and marketing, with responsibility for overseeing the company’s growth strategy and expanding its national presence, according to a press release.
The appointment forms part of Liquid Fleet’s plan to increase the size of its fleet from 3,000 to 5,000 vehicles over the next five years, while maintaining its annual growth target of 35%.
Miller joins from Ayvens, where he served as Strategic Account Director managing relationships with corporate fleets. Previous roles include Head of Mobility at Santander Consumer and UK OEM and Strategic Partnerships Leader at BP Pulse, where he worked on digital charging infrastructure and solutions. He brings experience in corporate leasing, rental and fleet electrification.
One of Miller’s initial priorities will be to expand the sales team to support nationwide coverage, along with the addition of a digital marketing specialist. He commented that Liquid Fleet’s 6-12 month leasing proposition, along with offerings such as salary sacrifice and short-term cover, will continue to be central to its strategy for clients. He added that the business will continue to focus on “personalized customer service tailored to specific mobility needs.”
CEO Ismael Aumeerally said Miller’s experience in leasing and corporate leasing would be “invaluable” as the company supports customers in the transition to electric vehicles. He noted that Miller’s appointment aligns with Liquid Fleet’s broader ESG and growth goals.
The announcement coincides with the company’s move to larger facilities in Telford, including a customer presentation room and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Aumeerally said the city offers “a good geographical base supported by a strong group of staff” and the new offices improve facilities for both colleagues and visiting partners.
