Will there be superstars in the Hawai’i field? You never know. These are the moments when NFL scouts find diamonds in the rough.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the players the Giants should have their eyes on today.
Hawai’i Bowl: California vs. Hawaii
Featured player: California Masses CB Hezekiah
There really aren’t many notable prospects to pick from on Wednesday, but one potential option is Cal cornerback Hezekiah Masses, who somehow flew under the radar this season despite being named to three All-America teams.
When analysts and experts talk about cornerbacks, his name rarely comes up. But the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Masses led the FBS with 18 passes defended and was tied for second in the ACC with five interceptions.

Although a bit thin, something he would have to adjust to at the NFL level, Masses excels in man coverage and chasing receivers along their routes. He is very physical and has high-level acceleration and deceleration, which keeps him glued to opposing players in coverage.
Masses also has impressive instincts and ball recognition, and his football IQ is off the charts for someone his age.
Going into Wednesday’s game, Masses is projected as a mid-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
