Four-star linebacker Roman Igwebuike named Tennessee among his top 12 schools, along with Miami, USC, Clemson, Indiana, Missouri, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Florida, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect is from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, Illinois. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 6 linebacker in the class and the No. 4 player in Illinois.
Tennessee offered Igwebuike a scholarship on March 13, 2025 and he has not visited the Vols.
Illinois was the first school to offer him a scholarship on January 10, 2025. Other Power Four schools offering Igwebuike scholarships include Iowa State, Syracuse, Purdue, Louisville, Minnesota, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Michigan State, Arizona State, Oregon, Kansas, Iowa, Boston College, North Carolina, Texas, Washington, Florida State, North Carolina State, Maryland, Arkansas, West Virginia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife and quarterback Derrick Baker.
