As you probably know, during his campaign, Trump made the surest promise: he would reduce the cost of food from “day one” of his presidency. Obviously this has not happened.

In fact, reports show that grocery inflation has reached its highest level since 2022, and retailers like Walmart have they raised their prices amid Trump’s tariffs.

Honestly, this should make everyone angry, but a (formerly) loyal Trump supporter has recently gone viral for his turnaround moment.

You see, it all started in June, when the president complained that farmers were frustrated by his aggressive attacks on immigration.

“Our great farmers and people in the hospitality and entertainment industry have been claiming that our very aggressive immigration policy is taking away very good, long-time workers from them, and that those jobs are almost impossible to replace,” Trump said on Truth Social at the time. “That’s not good… Changes are coming!”

So I guess when it comes down to reality, she actually I wouldn’t do it “He gladly pays higher prices for food,” and Internet users won’t let him forget it. Screenshots of his two tweets went viral on Reddit, where commenters shared little sympathy.

People can’t help but point out a particular part of his message that seems to be aimed at other conservatives:

“I love how she’s so sure conservatives will pretend the prices are low that she really needs to say ‘let’s not fool around’. Don’t ever let them fool you into thinking they don’t know they’re full of shit,” one redditor responded.
