The Pentagon has introduced its new generation of right-wing media and influencers who will now cover the ins and outs of the Department of Defense.

Pentagon Press Secretary Sean Parnell revealed that more than 60 journalists have signed the Pentagon’s media access policy. He said they represent a “broad spectrum of new media and independent journalists.”

CNN’s Natasha Bertrand reported that new media outlets include Gateway Pundit, TPUSA and LindellTV. The Washington Post confirmed that Timcast, National Pulse and Washington Reporter signed on to the policy. The Post Millennial, Human Events, TPUSA Frontlines, Lindell TV and Gateway Pundit confirmed their commitments to X.

“We are excited to announce that more than 60 journalists, representing a broad spectrum of new media and independent journalists, have signed the Pentagon’s media access policy and will join the new Pentagon press corps,” Parnell wrote in a post for DOW”.

“New media and independent journalists have created the formula to bypass the lies of the mainstream media and get real news directly to the American people,” he continued. “Their overall reach and impact are much more effective and balanced than those of the moralistic media that chose to self-deport from the Pentagon.”

The move comes after dozens of seasoned journalists from across the political spectrum surrendered their Pentagon press credentials, refusing to sign on to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s restrictive press policies.

The Defense Department’s new press policy prevents journalists from requesting information that the department has not authorized release, a major change in the typical press relationship with the Pentagon.

Parnell added that journalists from 18 outlets signed the original document, including OAN, Federalist and Epoch Times. The Department of Defense has not provided a complete list of signatories.

Conservative media outlets such as Fox News, Newsmax, the Washington Times and the Washington Examiner refused to sign on to the restrictive press policy. The move was praised by media personalities across the spectrum for protecting press freedom.

This introduction of the next generation of the press corps mirrors a similar press move the Trump administration took earlier this year with its new media briefings, in which influencers, upstart news outlets and non-traditional outlets were able to ask questions, generally favorable ones, of the administration.
