Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow was asked on Nov. 25 how much he had learned from teammate Joe Flacco in recent weeks, ahead of Burrow’s expected return to action on Thanksgiving night against the Ravens in Baltimore.

Flacco’s record is 1-5 in the six starts he has made for the Bengals this season since taking over for Jake Browning, who replaced Burrow when Burrow suffered a toe injury in Week 2.

“I think whenever you have a guy who’s played for so long, especially one who plays very differently than you, you can ask him what he thought in a situation or how you would react to this or that,” Burrow said. “He’s been playing a long time and at a high level. So that’s something I took advantage of.”

When Burrow did his first 11-on-11 work since his injury, Flacco evaluated Burrow’s performance and discussed their interactions.

“Joe (Burrow) looked good,” Flacco said after practice. “It’s cool to see him out there. Obviously, when they’re both doing reps and stuff like that, conversations come up. And just like ‘how do you see this versus that?’ But yeah, Joe looked good.”

Burrow also acknowledged that the Bengals “pretty much have to win every game” to make the NFL playoffs.
