“We are the only AI freight platform that can help you cover any load in less than ten minutes with the best quality carrier at the best price,” Bansal said.
By automating the traditionally manual process of finding carriers, Lanesurf significantly reduces the time and effort required to cover freight. The platform performs the research process and collects real quotes, just as traders’ sales representatives would.
“Think of Lanesurf as an army of a hundred carrier sales reps, all working at the same time trying to fill a load for you,” Emory said. This ability is not just theoretical; During the demonstration, its AI quickly managed a real freight scenario, picking up cargo in Bolingbrook, Illinois, and delivering it to Columbus, Georgia.
A unique feature of Lanesurf, Bansal says, is its ability to integrate AI seamlessly with existing workflows.
The effectiveness of this system is immediately evident.
“Normally, you would just call and start talking to operators manually and of course that takes a lot of time and in-depth knowledge,” Bansal said.
Lanesurf can find trucks to call for each load and examine their compliance.
Lanesurf’s vetting process ensures compliance with third-party providers and offers a refined list of potential operators that would otherwise require an immense amount of time and even tribal knowledge to acquire. This is a significant advantage for brokers, who know firsthand how often compliance and efficiency collide.
“All we have to do now is shoot,” Bansal said. “From there, the AI takes control, calling operators and sending emails, all simultaneously.”
Lanesurf stands out for its real-time trading capabilities. During the demonstration, the AI efficiently handled rate negotiations with operators, retaining memory of past interactions to facilitate discussions.
“The AI representative actually has memories of previous calls,” Bansal said. “It remembered my previous operator’s information and used real-time knowledge of other calls being made in parallel.”
This allows Lanesurf’s AI to confidently handle fee discussions, a task that could typically require significant back-and-forth negotiations if done manually. For example, in one of the demo interactions, the AI was offered a fare of $1,900, which was below the standard fare of $2,100 for that route. However, due to Lanesurf’s AI involvement and historical interaction memory, they settled on a nice $2,000 taking advantage of relationship dynamics and current market demand.
This functionality transcends traditional single-thread negotiation methods and provides freight forwarders with a level of multitasking that historically required numerous human operators.
