From ecstasy to agony for Liverpool and Alexander Isak.

Isak came through and scored a great left-footed goal to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead on Saturday night at Tottenham Hotspur.

But in goal, Spurs defender Mickey van de Ven slipped the left leg of Isak, who was simply trying to block the shot.

Isak felt immediate pain. I had no intention of celebrating the goal.

The coaches came out to the field and attended to him. Isak buried his face in his shirt.

It clearly seemed bad.

Isak rejected the stretcher that was brought to him. He walked away with his arms around two sneakers, barely putting any weight on his left leg.

Isak hasn’t been quite as advertised for Liverpool, but this was a terrible moment nonetheless.

Liverpool had already substituted Hugo Ekiteke at half-time, so they would have to find the striker for the rest of the game after substituting him after the goal.

But his biggest concern will be the long term for Isak. What will the rest of your season look like after what appeared to be a serious knee injury?
