General Dollar Corporation (NYSE:Managing director) is one of the stocks from different market sectors that Jim Cramer commented. Cramer talked about the stock while showing optimism around dollar stores, as he commented:

“What about the plight of the consumer staples cohort? This was the second-worst group in the market last year, up just 1.3%. What about some standouts? Dollar stores did well, with Dollar General and Dollar Tree handling tariff concerns to rebound 75% and 64%, respectively. Monster Beverage also had a good year, up 46%, and the hated Estee Lauder rebounded, up 40%. more. That was just, it wasn’t a dead cat Bounced, but man, those stocks had fallen too much. Philip Morris International posted a 33% gain. Walmart… rose 23%, outperforming the market. Now I like the underperforming Costco, and I accept that dollar stores will continue to do.
