Singh has been using a career monetary exemption this year, giving him access to most full events as he marks his return to the PGA Tour. While that decision wasn’t universally popular at first, it seems more than capable of defending itself.

The 62-year-old has certainly earned the right to take advantage of the opportunity presented by his career monetary exemption, just as Brooks Koepka did earlier this year under different circumstances.
But he’s proving he’s far from out of line. He even made the cut where players like Collin Morikawa and Keegan Bradley didn’t.

Still, it wouldn’t be surprising if Singh finished without an above-average round all week.
