New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin has been traded to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a conditional 2026 third-round pick and prospect Liam Greentree, according to ESPN.

The conditional draft pick will become a 2026 second-round pick if the Kings win at least one playoff round or a 2028 conditional fourth-round pick if LA wins two playoff rounds this spring.

The 34-year-old forward, who can become a free agent this summer, has 19 goals and 57 points in 52 games this season. Once it became clear that the two sides were going to part ways, the team kept him out of the lineup for the final three games to protect their asset.

The Rangers currently sit last in the Eastern Conference with 50 points, while the Kings have 60 points in 54 games and are one point out of a wild card spot in the Western Conference and three points behind the Anaheim Ducks for third place in the Pacific Division.
