Dominican Republic says that he recovered the quick boat cocaine destroyed by the US Navy.

The authorities of the Dominican Republic said they have confiscated part of the cocaine transported by a rapid boat that was destroyed by the United States Navy.

It occurs when the Trump administration carries out a controversial anti -narcotics mission in the Southern Caribbean.

At a press conference, the National Drug Control Directorate of the Dominican Republic said it recovered 377 cocaine packages of the boat that supposedly transported 1,000 kilograms of the drug.

The authorities said the boat was destroyed to about 80 nautical miles south of Beata Island, a small island that belongs to the Dominican Republic.

They said that the Navy of the Dominican Republic worked together with the US authorities to locate the rapid boat that was supposedly trying to attach in the Dominican Republic and use the nation as a “bridge” to transport cocaine to the United States.

“This is the first time in history that the United States and the Dominican Republic carry out a joint operation against drug terrorism in the Caribbean,” said the direction in a statement.

In August, the United States sent eight warships and a submarine to Southern Caribbean, in which the Trump administration has said it was a mission to combat drug trafficking.

The White House says that the flotilla has destroyed three fast boats that carry drugs so far on separate strikes that have killed more than a dozen people aboard the vessels.

Human rights groups have said that the strikes in the boats are equivalent to additional judicial murders, and on Friday two Democratic senators introduced a resolution in Congress that seeks to block the administration to carry out more strikes.

The Trump administration says that at least two of the boats that have sunk from Venezuela, whose president is often described by the White House officials as a drug trafficker and leader of a gang known as the SunS poster.

The Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, denies the positions and has described the naval accumulation of the US in the Caribbean as an attack on his country.
