September 25 (UPI) – Cal Raleight continued his historic Homer campaign, crushing numbers 59 and 60, while helping Seattle sailors to achieve their first west American league title since 2001.
Raleigh erased the fast balls in the first and eighth entry of the 9-2 victory over the Colorado rockies on Wednesday in Seattle.
With the victory, the sailors (89-69) beat the Astros de Houston (84-74) in the race for their First Division crown in almost a quarter of a century. The stars won seven of the last eight division titles, including each of the last four.
“I’m speechless,” Raleight said in the Root Sports transmission. “This is something we have been working so hard and the city is dying.”
The sailors currently have the seed number 2 of the American League, which includes a first round goodbye and a field advantage of origin in the American League division series.
“I’m very happy,” Raleight said. “I love this team. I love this city … I am very happy for our boys. We are going to celebrate, (but) we have not finished.”
Raleight, who leads MLB with 60 homers and is better in the American League in Rbis (125), crushed its 59th long ball of the year at the bottom of the first entry on Wednesday at T-Mobile Park.
He hit the third launch he saw from the rockyer of the Rockies, Tanner Gordon, a quick 93.1 mph ball, on the upper deck for a 438 feet solo shot. The gardener of the Marineros Center, Julio RodrÃguez, hit a Homer of 422 feet on the next turn of the bat and the sailors never looked back.
The second base Julio Polanco connected the third homer of the entrance two shifts to the bat later. Raleigh added to leadership with a two -run double in the second. The designated batter Blaine Crimen put the rockies on the scoreboard with a solitary home run of 412 feet at the top of the fourth.
The left gardener Randy Arozoa and the first base Josh Naylor led races at the bottom of the same entrance for an advantage of 7-1 sailors. The third base Eugenio Suárez broke the fourth home run of the Night of the Mariners, a solo explosion of 358 feet to the right garden, in the seventh.
Raleight returned to the plate at the bottom of the eighth. He hit the first launch he saw from the Rockies Angel Chivilli relief to the right garden for a 389 feet solo home run.
The rockies scored the final race of the night in an RBI at the top of the novena.
Raleight was 3 by 5 with four ranked races and two races scored. Dominic Canzone designed hitter was 3 by 4 for sailors. RodrÃguez and Polanco registered two hits each in the victory.
The operator of the sailors, Luis Castillo, allowed only a hit and a race for 7 1/3 entries. He issued 10 strikeouts and not walking to improve 11-8 in 2025.
Gordon allowed eight hits and seven races, including five wins, more than 3 1/3 tickets to fall to 6-8 this season. The rockies, who have the worst MLB record (43-115), totaled only two hits.
With seed No. 2, the sailors are on their way to interpreting the winner of a possible bunned series between the Cleveland Guardians No. 3 and Tigers No. 6 of Detroit.
The Guardians, who have 12-1 in their last 13 games, beat Tigers 5-1 on Wednesday to take an advantage of a game in their enemies at the top of the American Central League.
New York Yankees also improved their positioning with an 8-1 victory over the Chicago Blancas Soles on Wednesday in New York. Now they are tied, in terms of the record, with the Toronto Blue Jays at the top of the American League East, but the tiles have a tiebreaker.
The Blue Jays still have the number 1 sown and they would face the winner of a series of wild cards between the Yankees and the Red Boston socks in a series of the American League division, if the playoffs began after Wednesday’s games.
The Yankees, the tiles and the sailors remain the only American league teams in Clinch post season, leaving three unstable locations. The sailors were the first American league team to ensure a division title.
The Yankees and Blue Jays secured at least one liter of wild card. The Red Sox (87-71) and Los Tigres (85-73) are the other two bunned leaders. The stars (84-74), which are on a five-game losing streak, are a return game in the Commodines race.
Only a postseason ticket remains at stake in the National League, with several teams fighting for a wildcard. The New York Mets (81-77), which currently occupy the last place of Commodines, lost 10-1 to the Chicago puppies to the playoffs (89-69) on Wednesday, but their main competitors: the Cincinnati Reds (80-78) and Arizona Diamondbacks (80-78), also lost and failed to invent the earth.
The Milwaukee Brewers (96-63) and Philadelphia Phillies (93-65) secured two of the three titles of the National League division. The Los Angeles Dodgers (89-69) have an advantage of 2 1/2 in the parents of San Diego (87-72) in the West National League.
The Reds will receive the Pittsburgh pirates (69-89) in the first game on the MLB Thursday list at 12:40 PM EDT in Cincinnati.
