DETROIT — A car crashed at the entrance to the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport on Friday evening, crashing into the ticket counter and injuring six people, airport officials said.
The driver was taken into custody, the Wayne County Airport Authority said in a statement. The cause of the accident is not yet known, and the airport police are conducting an investigation.
The WCAA Fire Department treated six people at the scene.
A video posted on social media showed a blue four-door sedan parked, with the hood and the truck open, in front of the Delta Air Lines offices in what appeared to be the departure lounge.
Glass and other debris were scattered on the ground at the entrance, and yellow police tape cordoned off the scene.
The driver’s name was not immediately revealed.
