street. Petersburg, Florida– A fire broke out Saturday evening in a laboratory building on the University of South Florida’s St. Petersburg campus, prompting an evacuation, authorities said.
The fire sent plumes of gray smoke rising from the Marine Science Laboratory building. University police and the local fire department said no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
