AFCON 2025 comes to an end this Sunday with the grand final that will pit Senegal against the host country, Morocco. The match referee has been announced.
We are just a few hours away from the AFCON 2025 final. To direct the match between Senegal and Morocco at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat, CAF has appointed Jean-Jacques Ndala. The Congolese referee, who already officiated the opening match of the tournament between Morocco and Comoros, as well as the group stage clash between Tanzania and Tunisia, was chosen in place of Sudanese Mahmood Ismail.

Jean-Jacques Ndala is 38 years old and will experience his first African Cup of Nations final, bringing with him a wealth of experience on the continental stage. Known for his composure and authority, he will be supported by his compatriots Guylain Bongele Ngila and Gradel Mwanya Mbilizi. In the VAR booth, Gabon’s Pierre Atcho will be the subject of special attention after a controversial quarter-final performance marked by a decision that drew much criticism.
