Harry Amass’ loan move to Norwich City could well end with the youngster playing just 15 minutes for the club.
The on-loan Manchester United star signed for Norwich on a mid-season deal last week, having spent the first half of 2025/2026 with Sheffield Wednesday.

United then opted to withdraw Amass from the struggling Yorkshire team to test his resolve elsewhere, deciding that Carrow Road was a more suitable environment for the 18-year-old to ply his trade until the summer.
However, it has been nothing short of a nightmare start.

Amass was given his debut off the bench against Championship leaders Coventry City last Monday, after which he suffered a ‘serious looking’ training injury.
“It will be a longer-term injury. He is on loan from Man United and it has to be a joint decision.” said Canarian coach Philippe Clement.

The two clubs will now have to discuss whether Amass would be best suited to return to Carrington to undergo recovery and rehabilitation, as Toby Collyer did when he suffered a knee injury before Christmas.
It is a hugely ill-timed blow for the full-back, who would have been eager to prove himself in a new environment after impressing on Wednesday.

If Amass returns to Manchester in the coming days, he will join first-team absentees Patrick Dorgu, Matthijs de Ligt and Mason Mount at the training complex.

Dorgu has been ruled out for around 10 weeks due to a hamstring problem sustained in the win over Arsenal, while De Ligt has been unavailable since the clash at Selhurst Park on November 30.
Mount was ruled out of Sunday’s home game against Fulham, although Michael Carrick confirmed the midfielder’s problem was only a light knock, so he is expected to return soon, perhaps even in time for Saturday’s game against Tottenham Hotspur.
