The Boston Celtics have built their teams in various ways over the decades, but few if any methods have borne more fruit than through the NBA draft. The best players to suit up for the Celtics have generally come to Boston either through being signed directly at the annual event or through trades made that night.

And it’s not just top stars that the Celtics have selected through the draft. Countless members of the historic baseball club’s alumni have been selected for the team through that annual event, and some schools are better represented than others. We can see blue blood programs and some very small schools contributing top talent to Boston rosters over the years, so we decided to look at which players come from which schools overall.
