Angola cables, The provider of digital services and telecommunications solutions has announced the appointment of Adriano Caldevilla as its new technology director (CTO). In its new role, Caldevilla will lead the company’s technology and global interconnection strategy in the Angola cables and its subsidiary, Telcables .
A key part of his mandate will be to strengthen the presence of the group in Brazil, expanding commercial opportunities and connectivity in the region. Its priorities include the expansion of underwater cable infrastructure, the optimization of the existing network and the development of strategic associations in the established and emerging markets.
With more than 20 years of international experience in networks, submarine cables, cloud computing and digital security, Caldevilla has played an important role in interconnection projects, intellectual property transit and pairs, and advanced cyber security solutions. It has also contributed to the planning of intercontinental submarine cable systems and the expansion of IP and MPLS global networks. His career includes leadership roles in Zoom Video Communications, Globenet/OI, Akamai Technologies, Global Crossing (Level 3), Verizon and Orange.
