The latest NBA betting scandal has resulted in the release of one of the league’s head coaches on a staggering bail.
Via NBCNews.com, Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups, after pleading not guilty to his role in an allegedly rigged and mob-backed poker game, was released on $5 million bail.

Billups is charged with wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy.
The conditions of his bail release prevent him from having contact with witnesses, victims, accomplices or co-defendants. (That’s a standard term.)
The prosecutor handling the case confirmed to the court that guilty pleas are being negotiated with several of the 31 defendants.
