According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have drawn up a clear plan for Lamine Yamal’s return as the youngster approaches full fitness.

The outlet claims that the 18-year-old will play between 30 and 45 minutes as a substitute against Girona before starting again in the Champions League match against Olympiacos, where he is expected to play between 60 and 70 minutes.

Interestingly, if everything goes as planned, Yamal will be at his best and fully ready for the Clasico against Real Madrid on October 26.

The Barça prodigy has been working at the club’s facilities focusing on recovery and muscle strengthening to put his recent groin problems behind him.

Notably, Yamal suffered a relapse during the Champions League match against PSG, but his current form of recovery has encouraged both the medical and technical staff.

The Classic in sight

Throughout this week, Yamal will continue training daily at the club’s facilities, following a specific recovery program designed to regain his sharpness without risking another setback.

The plan, although cautious, is ambitious. His limited minutes against Girona will serve as an important test to evaluate his readiness in a competitive environment.

If his body responds well, he will start against Olympiacos, which would be a vital step to regain rhythm and confidence ahead of the Classic.

The ultimate goal for Hansi Flick and his staff is to have Yamal in optimal condition when Barcelona faces Real Madrid.

Flick sees the teenager as a vital component of his attacking set-up and praises his pace, creativity and ability to unsettle defenders.

With Barcelona still searching for consistency after recent setbacks, having Yamal back at full strength could provide the spark the team is missing.

Now everything at the club is being planned with one clear objective: to ensure that its most promising young talents are 100% ready to shine on the grandest stage of them all.
