The Buffalo Bills are going to be a fascinating sight this offseason, and not because it’s Joe Brady’s first job in the big chair.

But because of what the franchise does with young receiver Keon Coleman.
Two years in the league, and Coleman hasn’t looked like the weapon Buffalo drafted him into, but now that Brady is their head coach, maybe the tide will start to turn.
And one way to do that, as ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg wrote, is if the Bills start moving Coleman around the formation.
“Specifically for Coleman, Beane believes he can play, and Brady voiced his support for him loudly,” Getzenberg wrote. “If Coleman is on the roster for the 2026 season, Beane suggested playing more slot receiver. (Of the 583 regular-season routes Coleman has run, 473 have been on the outside.)”

Could this move fix Coleman?
Fix may not be the right word, but it’s another thread to pull, allowing Keon to get open and make plays.
We’ve seen moves like this work before, including with George Pickens and the Dallas Cowboys. Pickens was largely viewed as an outside receiver, but Brian Schottenheimer moved him inside and had excellent results.
Coleman on slant routes, which allow him to use his big frame and then power down the field, is an interesting aspect for Brady to add to the mix.
At this point, anything that can help Keon get going is a good bet, and heading into Year 3, we get the feeling that Keon needs to start making plays more consistently.

And moving it could be the key to making this happen.
