TORONTO — Canadian police are investigating reports that the U.S. Consulate in downtown Toronto came under gunfire early Tuesday morning.
No injuries were reported.
Toronto police said they responded to reports at about 5:30 a.m. that someone had opened fire on the US consulate.
In a social media post, police said they were at the scene near University Avenue and Queen Street West.
“Evidence of a firearm having been discharged was found,” police said in the post.
No suspicious information was published.
The aforementioned shooting comes after two synagogues in the Toronto area were exposed to gunfire last weekend.
