It is the first of five post-split matches and Martin O’Neill will be looking for five wins which should almost certainly provide yet another title for the reigning Scottish champions.
The referee for the match on Saturday at 5.30pm will be Ryan Lee and he will be assisted by Jonathan Bell and Dougie Potter. Meanwhile, Chris Graham will lead the VAR operation and will be assisted by our old friend Greg Aitken, the Scottish FA confirmed today via their official website.

Celtic reached the Scottish Cup final on Sunday after a stunning four-goal burst in the first half of extra time against St Mirren took the game away from the Premier Sports Cup winners. The 6-2 scoreline in Celtic’s favor was sweet revenge for that frustrating mid-December afternoon with Celtic under Wilfried Nancy.
That victory sets up the Scottish Cup final between Martin O’Neill and Neil Lennon, teacher and student, on Saturday 23 May. For the Celtic boss, however, that will take a backseat for now as he looks to wring every last ounce of energy out of his team in the five league games starting against Falkirk at the weekend.

Celtic will then face Hibs at Easter Road, Rangers at Celtic Park, Motherwell and finally Hearts on Trophy Day at Celtic Park. If Celtic can win all five then the trophy is going nowhere and Martin O’Neill, the Celtic players and support will head to Hampden a week later with confidence sky high as the most unlikely double is there to win.
All fan protests are on hold at these games – it’s about supporting the team and on Sunday at Hampden that was evident with huge, loud Celtic support. Monday The Hoops!
