The draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup has been made and Chelsea take on Wrexham.
After comfortably beating Hull on Friday night in the fourth round, the Blues are rewarded with a trip to Wales to face the hottest team in the Championship.

Owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and “Rob Mac”, the Welsh team has gone from being out of the league to competing in the playoffs in the Championship. Whatever you think of the project, it’s been pretty incredible progress.

A run of away draws in cups continues this season: as far back as we can remember, Lincoln, Hull, Cardiff, Wolves and Charlton all played away from home. Our only home game was the home and away game against Arsenal in the EFL Cup semi-final.
Still, as giveaways go, this one is pretty fun.

Chelsea played Wrexham in pre-season two years ago, drawing 2-2 as Enzo Maresca prepared for his only season in charge. Since then, they have continued their rise.

Chelsea’s xG result this season is excellent, but they are well behind Arsenal in the table because the Gunners are outstanding in an equally important statistic. The Blues need to improve in that category to catch up.
