Massimiliano Allegri’s tactical organization allowed Milan to win the derby, while Cristian Chivu must take stock after Inter’s fourth defeat this season, says Alfredo Pedullà.

Transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà analyzed Milan’s 1-0 victory over Inter in his latest YouTube video for Football Italia.

It is a fact that the goalkeepers made the difference: Mike Maignan saved a penalty and produced five more saves, while Yann Sommer was blamed for Christian Pulisic’s winning goal.

However, there is a tactical aspect that must also be taken into account.

Milan struggled in the first half, but ultimately won the match, proving that Allegri’s game plan was a winner, Pedullà noted.

Allegri’s meticulous tactical organization prepared the Rossoneri to be ready when they had to attack, which is what they did early in the second half.

Apart from Maignan, according to Pedullà, Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlović were the most outstanding players in Milan’s defense.

Four defeats for Inter in Serie A

On the other hand, Inter coach Chivu must make serious assessments, because the Nerazzurri have already lost four games, something that, at this point in the season, a team that aspires to win the Scudetto cannot afford.

Inter had the right intensity in the first half, but then became nervous, almost as if they felt they could capitulate to an unfortunate incident.
