After another win, the Colts moved back up the NFL Week 7 power rankings.
After a win over Arizona, the Colts are now 5-1 so far this year. A week ago, Indianapolis was ranked No. 5 in ESPN’s power rankings. This week, they are now fourth overall.
The only teams ahead of the Colts are Tampa Bay at number one, followed by Detroit and Buffalo.
The Cardinals’ stingy defense provided a test for the Colts’ powerful offense, especially early. However, even in a game that was sometimes difficult to sled, the Colts still managed to score 31 points.
The Colts currently rank first in points per game and second in yards per play.
Then, as defenses do, they made some crucial last-minute stops and forced a go-ahead play.
“I thought those guys made a play when they had to,” Shane Steichen said of the Colts’ secondary. “And obviously you have some young guys who are learning on the job, and they competed until the end. There was no lack of competition in any of those guys.”
Along with ESPN, let’s take a look at where the Colts rank in some other power rankings.
