Corvus Pharmaceuticals soared 211.8 percent weekly to hit a new all-time high, as investors cheered strong results from its clinical trial testing the effectiveness of soquelitinib in patients with moderate to severe eczema.
On Friday alone, the stock jumped to its highest price of $26.95 before giving up all gains to end the session down 1.65 percent at $25.10 each.
In a report updated earlier this week, Corvus Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:CRVS) said its drug candidate successfully demonstrated a 72 percent reduction in eczema severity for patients enrolled in the first-phase trial, compared to a 40 percent reduction for those taking the placebo.
Additionally, the therapy was noted to be even more effective when taken longer and was well tolerated by enrolled patients.
Based on the positive results, Corvus Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:CRVS) plans to initiate a Phase 2 trial in the first quarter of 2026 and enroll 200 patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis who have failed at least one prior topical or systemic therapy.
The trial is expected to enroll four cohorts of 50 patients each, with soquelitinib doses of 200 mg once daily, 200 mg twice daily, and 400 mg once daily, along with a placebo group.
The Phase 2 trial is 12 weeks long with a 30-day treatment-free follow-up period.
