Cotton futures fell at the close on Wednesday, as contracts fell between 7 and 12 points in the first few months. Crude oil futures rose $1.26 a barrel on the day to $64.47. The US dollar index rose $0.214 to $97.515.

The Seam’s Tuesday online auction showed sales of 55.62 cents/pound on 8,680 bales. The Cotlook A index fell another 45 points on February 3 to 73.35 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks increased by 2,247 bales (2/3), with a certified stock level of 36,515 bales. The adjusted world price was updated to 50.23 cents/lb last week.

March 26 Cotton closed at 62.24, 7 points lower.

On May 26, cotton closed at 63.99, a drop of 12 points.

July 26 Cotton closed at 65.72, 8 points less
