New promotion Real American Freestyle (RAF) has its fifth show this weekend. And they are once again bringing out some recognizable UFC names to draw attention to themselves and the sport of wrestling. This time they have the division Colby Covington and Lucas Rockhold to put on t-shirts and go back to their college and high school days.

Covington is the most decorated wrestler, competing for the University of Iowa and then Oregon State University (where he became a two-time Pac-10 conference champion). Rockhold wrestled in high school before focusing on BJJ and then MMA. However, the former UFC middleweight champion will have a considerable size advantage over the former interim UFC welterweight champion. This match is set for 190 pounds.
Since leaving the UFC, Rockhold, 41, has appeared at Polaris and the Craig Jones Invitational and had his teeth erased. Mike Perry at BKFC (watch it here). Last year he smoked. Joe Schilling in Karate Combat (watch it here) and was knocked out by Darren Till on Misfits Boxing (watch it here).
The co-main event is for the RAF 205-pound title. Face an active UFC fighter Bo Nickel against Yoel Romero. Romero, a former world champion and Olympic silver medalist, has recently been knocking out guys in BKFC and Mike Perry’s Dirty Boxing. Nickal, a three-time NCAA Division 1 champion, is coming off a thunderous KO with a head kick. Rodolfo Vieira (see it here).

Olympic bronze medalist Kyle Dake It’s also on the card. He will hope to avenge his loss in the silver medal game to Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau. These two will compete for the RAF 190lb title.

Below the card is Arman Tsarukianwho is taking some time out of the UFC doghouse to face the Bellator vet Lance Palmer.

The event will start at 8 pm Eastern time. and is broadcast exclusively on FOXNation.
