Cowboys injuries: Tyler Guyton and Trevon Diggs ruled out against Lions

We are officially in the time of year when wins and losses are calculated. The Dallas Cowboys have postseason hopes, but they need to keep racking up wins and get help along the way to make the math work in their favor. After today’s final injury report, the Cowboys will see a much different Lions team than the one they would have expected to face earlier this season. Here’s the latest on injuries ahead of tomorrow’s big game.

Having not practiced all week, Tyler Guyton was ruled out with a high ankle sprain. Trevon Diggs (knee) has been practicing all this week in limited sessions. Diggs hoped to play, but was ultimately ruled out as well. As for everyone else, the Cowboys appear to be in pretty good health. Jadeveon Clowney (hamstring) was upgraded to limited today and is questionable to play against Detroit. Malik Hooker (back) is the only other player listed as questionable. George Pickens (calf/knee) and DaRon Bland (foot/wrist) returned to full participation Wednesday and will be on the field in Detroit.

We’re still waiting for the final word from Detroit, but they remain devastated by injuries. Head coach Dan Campbell told receiver Khalif Raymond (ankle) yesterday that he won’t play against Dallas. It is also very questionable whether Amon-Ra St Brown (ankle) will play tomorrow. St. Brown is an important part of the Lions’ offense because of his versatility and productivity. He has recorded more than 100 receptions between 2022 and 2024. His absence on Thursday would leave a big hole in Detroit’s offense. Safety Kerby Joseph was demoted Tuesday and did not practice yesterday, also leaving his status unclear for taking the field against Dallas.
