There are only five weeks left in the regular season. When Week 14 begins, the Dallas Cowboys will hit the road to take on the Detroit Lions on “Thursday Night Football.”

Both teams played on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions were upset by the Green Bay Packers, while the Cowboys stayed strong at home and beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dallas enters Week 14 with a 6-5-1 record. The Cowboys are in second place in the NFC East and are two games behind the Philadelphia Eagles. If the playoffs started today, Dallas would be on the outside looking in. Only seven teams will make the NFC playoff bracket, and the Cowboys are currently the No. 9 team in the NFC.

The Lions’ loss to the Packers affected their playoff position. Detroit is now also out of the NFC playoff picture. The Lions had a chance to go into Week 14 atop the NFC North, but instead sit in third place behind the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. Detroit has a 7-5 record, one game behind the Bears, putting a lot of importance on each of the Lions’ remaining games.

21:14 — After an incomplete pass and a penalty, Goff connected with Gibbs on a 13-yard pass. It wasn’t enough for a first down and Goff’s third pass to Jameson Williams fell incomplete. The Lions decided to punt on fourth-and-two from their own 37-yard line.

FIELD GOAL — Lions 10, Vaqueros 6

21:07. — Dallas began its drive with two runs and a short pass for the first down. For the final play of the first quarter, Williams ran the ball up the middle for a three-point gain.

After the fourth break, Prescott hit CeeDee Lamb on third-and-six, and it looked like the receiver was going to come up short. He broke a tackle and took the ball to the sideline for a gain of 16. Facing another third down, Williams collected five to move the chains.

6:46 p.m. — One of the biggest stories of the game has been whether or not Lions star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown will be able to suit up. He missed almost all of Detroit’s Week 13 loss to the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury.

While it was assumed he would need another week, the wide receiver went through workouts and gave the thumbs up to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler as he walked off the field when asked if he was going to play.

6:35 p.m.. — The Cowboys will wear dark navy blue jerseys. Dallas will wear white pants and silver helmets.

6:15 p.m. — The Lions will be home at Ford Field for the second consecutive Thursday. Detroit will wear its white jerseys with white pants. Their helmets will be silver and blue.

5:45 p.m.. — The Lions are coming off a loss. While many would worry about how they will respond, Detroit generally likes to be able to adjust after a loss. Since 2022, the Lions are 14-0 after a loss.

17:15. — The start will not be for three hours. Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott is already walking the field. He’s not in uniform yet, but he talked to Jane Slater about the last time the Cowboys were in Detroit. The quarterback said, “We lit them up, a lot of passing yards. We’re about to do it again.”
