An old owner of the car washing in the Los Angeles area is demanding federal immigration officials, claiming that masked officers took him to the ground, took him over him and kept him without charges or medical care for 12 hours during a September immigration raid.

The demand of $ 50 million comes from Rafie Ollah Shouhed, 79, owner of Valley Car Wash in Van Nuys, and appoints the Department of National Security, Customs and Border Protection, the Border Patrol and the Immigration and Customs Control.

“The only thing those ice agents told him, since three of them stacked on him … They said: ‘Do not fuck yourself with ice,” said civil rights lawyer V. James Desimone, who represents Shouhed, during a press conference on Thursday.

Desimone added that the surveillance video shows “the insensitive and casual form” immigration agents are operating in Los Angeles, since officers “immediately resort to force.”

The lawsuit states that masked agents raided the business on September 9. When the 79 -year -old man went to ask about the operation, the agents allegedly took him immediately to the ground.

Later, while Shouhed sought to guarantee the legal status of employees who were being arrested, he was allegedly forced to the ground, this time with three agents on top of him when he begged that he needed an ambulance and could not breathe.

The business owner was allegedly taken to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles, where he affirms that medical care was denied, then released free of charge.

The terrible experience left it with broken ribs, an injured elbow and symptoms after the consumption of a traumatic brain injury, says Shouhed.

“(I told them) I have a heart condition. I am an old man, begging them: ‘Let me go. I need to go to the hospital,” Los Angeles told NBC at the time of the incident.

“I thought this was a good country, a good country. Why do this kind of thing do you?”

The National Security Department said Independent The action was an “directed immigration application operation” that resulted in the arrest of five undocumented immigrants from Guatemala and Mexico that broke the immigration laws of the United States, including one that was withdrawn from the country twice in 2015.

“The owner of Valley Car Wash, an American citizen, prevented the operation and was arrested for assaulting and preventing a federal officer,” DHS added.

The generalized immigration rates throughout the Los Angeles area have been a continuous source of controversy.

The Trump administration sent troops from the National Guard and the United States Marines to the city during the summer against mass protests against raids.

The Administration also faced a federal demand that accused the immigration agents of carrying out “itinerant patrols” who headed indiscriminately to people for their perceived ethnicity, language and legal status.

The lower courts temporarily arrested such tactics, discovering that they could be equivalent to illegal profiles, but the United States Supreme Court gave officials temporary permission to continue after an emergency appeal of the Trump administration.

Last week, California signed a bill that would prohibit most of the forces of the order, including federal agents, to use facial masks. Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, said the masks remind the secret police that operate in authoritarian regimes.

The White House has said that federal officials are not bound by law and will continue to use masks.
