In terms of revenue, the fourth quarter came in at $95.8 million, up 17% year-over-year, but missed the consensus estimate by $4 million. Management explained that the shortfall was due to intensifying competition and slowing user growth in the core social casino segment. This happened even though new revenue streams took over, management said. For the full year, revenue grew to a record $359.9 million from $341.3 million in fiscal 2024. However, the core social casino business was actually down 3% year over year, with management noting that the core growth was largely due to acquisitions.

Earnings per share for the quarter were $9.72, well above the $0.61 expected by Wall Street. However, earnings for the quarter fell sharply to $24.1 million from $35.7 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024, primarily due to a goodwill impairment charge at SuprNation, the company’s iGaming subsidiary. In this sense, the big improvement in earnings per share was more a function of how analysts had modeled the deterioration than of genuine outperformance, management noted.

En Keuk Kim, the company’s CEO, said the huge profits during the quarter were the culmination of “a strong year of executing our strategic plan to expand our revenue across all products and geographies while increasing direct-to-consumer (DTC) revenue streams.” He added that the company’s operational approach allowed them to “drive high conversion of revenue to cash flow,” resulting in net cash flow from operations of $42.8 million in the quarter ended December.
