While on Radio Row at the Super Bowl, former Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker talked about joining current and former NFL tight ends in a Super Bowl commercial for Novartis, encouraging men to get screened for prostate cancer with a simple blood test.

“What we really want is to end the stigma about what people think about cancer screening,” Walker told Jim Wyatt. “Guys my age, 40 and up, when they think about prostate cancer, they think about rectal exams. With this campaign, we’re just trying to get people to understand that it’s as easy as a blood test, and that’s where the campaign, ‘Relax, it’s a blood test,’ comes from.”
Walker joins active tight ends George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers) and Colby Parkinson (Los Angeles Rams), as well as retired tight ends Rob Gronkowski (Patriots, Buccaneers), Greg Olsen (Panthers), Tony González (Falcons) and Vernon Davis (San Francisco 49ers), along with NFL head coach Bruce Arians, a prostate cancer survivor, in this important spot.
Walker spent 14 seasons in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers and Titans, finishing his career with 504 receptions for 5,888 yards and 36 touchdowns, with some of his most productive seasons in Nashville, including his three Pro Bowl nods.
