Atlanta – A Georgia Tech student was injured after an explosion in one of the school’s laboratories.
A Georgia Tech spokesman says that there was a chemical explosion within one of the laboratories in the Molecular Building Science and Engineering in the Biachus area of the Campus.

They say that a student is being treated by minor burning injuries.
Atlanta police officers and firefighters were called to campus just after 1:30 pm
Fire officials say that the student was taken to the Graduate Memorial Hospital.
Many people who work in the building evacuated as a precaution, but have returned to their offices.
Environmental health and safety experts are on the campus to make sure the area is safe.
