De’Von Achane continues eating
In one of the few positives of the day, Achane was able to continue his hot streak with another double-digit fantasy score. He hasn’t had a game all season in half-PPR formats in which he hasn’t hit double-digit points, this week he had 19 on 26 touches and 165 total yards. What’s even better is that the Dolphins are playing competitive football. Not that the game’s script mattered much to Achane’s fantasy. He has arguably been the most consistent player in all of fantasy football in 2025. As Miami tries to push and sneak into the postseason, Achane is expected to continue receiving elite touches and be on many fantasy playoff rosters.

Lack of touchdowns despite many yards
If you looked at the box score, you might be wondering where all the points were. Both the Commanders and Dolphins put up a lot of yards but combined for only two touchdowns in the game. Washington had nearly 400 yards of total offense while Miami had 340. One of the two TDs went to Washington WR Deebo Samuel Sr., who recorded 17.2 fantasy points in the loss. He’s been a decent fantasy asset this season despite Jayden Daniels’ injury. Deebo now has touchdowns in consecutive games and continues to be a TD-dependent flex play in most formats.
Jaylen Waddle was the name most thought to appear in this game and posted a modest 3-52-0 line on seven targets. With the game tight, Miami didn’t need to push the ball downfield as much. Waddle posted just 6.7 fantasy points after putting up double figures in five of the previous six games.

Ollie Gordon II scored the only touchdown for the Dolphins, preventing Achane from having an even more successful day. Gordon made the most of nine carries for 45 yards and the score. He will still be a solid backup with potential if something happens to Achane. The lead running back briefly left the game with a back injury, but will have a break in Week 12 to recover.
Chris Rodríguez Jr. leads Washington backfield
The Commanders backfield has been one of the most up-and-down units all season. It’s been a revolving door since the team traded Brian Robinson Jr. before the season. Rookie back Jacory Croskey-Merritt has had every opportunity to step into the number one RB role and has failed to this point. As a result, C-Rod has appeared in the last three games and had his best game of the season from a usage perspective. Rodriguez totaled 16 touches for 85 total yards. It was the second time in the last three games he had double-digit touches. Had Samuel not scored his touchdown, Rodriguez might have scored in his third straight game.

His production was only good enough for nine fantasy points, but if you add Rodriguez this week, it’s a good sign. The Commanders were still able to move the ball even though Daniels was out. JCM and Jeremy McNichols will continue to get carries and targets, limiting Rodriguez’s upside. However, if C-Rod can get 10-15 touches per game, he should be a decent RB3/FLEX option in most formats.
