Opponent Manager – Keith Andrews
The Irishman began his playing career at Wolverhampton Wanderers before going on to play for Hull City, Milton Keynes Dons, Oxford United, Stoke City and Walsall.
Following the end of his playing career, Andrews became assistant manager to MK Dons head coach Karl Robinson and left the club at the end of the 2015/16 season.
He later worked as Stephen Kenny’s assistant for the Republic of Ireland national under-21 and senior team until Kenny’s departure in November 2023.

He joined Sheffield United’s backroom staff in December 2023 under Chris Wilder, before leaving at the end of the season when he was appointed set-piece coach at Brentford.
Andrews was appointed Brentford head coach in June 2025, replacing manager Thomas Frank.
Pep Guardiola PREVIEW
Pep Guardiola previewed this Carabao Cup clash when he met the media on Sunday.
We will have a full written and video summary of what he said available on mancity.com and on our official app at 1.30pm (UK) on Tuesday 16 December.
dangerous men
One name fans will be no stranger to hearing is Jordan Henderson. The defender scored the first goal against Leeds and currently leads the way in assists with a total of three for Brentford.

Igor Thiago tops the Bees’ table for goals scored with a total of 12 so far this season, five of them from the penalty spot.
Mikel Damsgaard and Kevin Schade will likely step in to fill the creative void of record signing Dango Ouattara, who left to represent Burkina Faso at the African Cup of Nations.
Previous meeting
We last faced the Bees in October with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Gtech as Pep Guardiola racked up his 250th Premier League win.
Erling Haaland’s ninth-minute goal was the only goal of the game in west London.
It means our boss reached a significant milestone in just 349 outings, 55 games quicker than previous best Alex Ferguson.

last time
We travel to the Capital to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
A brace from Erling Haaland and a fine goal from Phil Foden helped City to a crucial 3-0 win and move to within two points of Premier League leaders Arsenal.
It turned out to be a tough and demanding test, but a stunning header from Haaland in the 41st minute broke the stalemate of the first half.
This was followed by a brilliant goal from Foden in the 69th minute to double the lead.
It ended with a Haaland penalty in the 88th minute, awarded after substitute Savinho was brought down, to seal our fourth consecutive league win.
