New York — Firefighters battled a blaze that broke out early Saturday on the top two floors of a high-rise apartment in New York City, according to fire officials.

The fourth-alarm fire in the Bronx started shortly after midnight and spread to several apartments in the 17-story building, according to a statement from the New York City Fire Department.

There was no immediate news about the cause of the fire.

The fire department said that more than 200 fire and emergency crew members were working at the scene.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured.

In a video posted online, flames can be seen engulfing part of the upper floors of the building.
