Daniels played well for the Tigers in his final two starts of the 2025 season. This was after he struggled in his first start, where the Tigers lost to Kentucky 10-3 and Hugh Freeze was fired the next day. Against the Vanderbilt Commodores, Daniels threw for 353 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 89 yards rushing and two more touchdowns in a 45-38 overtime loss. In the Iron Bowl, he had 367 total yards and one touchdown pass. Daniels announced that he would enter the transfer portal on December 21.
Before coming to Auburn, Daniels played three seasons for the Stanford Cardinal. During those three seasons, he threw for 3,986 yards and 24 touchdowns. However, he stood out at Stanford as a running back. He rushed for 1,117 yards and nine touchdowns. Like Auburn in 2025, Stanford struggled to win games during Daniels’ time there. Over the three years, the team went 9-27 and never won more than three games in a season. Despite that, Daniels has shown that he can be a productive player and would help any potential team.
