Michigan State football lost starting offensive guard Kristian ‘Big Dooley’ Phillips to the transfer portal after spending the last four years in East Lansing.

Injury problems plagued Phillips throughout his career, preventing him from playing a full season while with Michigan State. It ended with the two parties drifting apart, needing a new start. Now, Phillips has a new home and made the decision to commit to Boston College.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Phillips, a native of Conyers, Georgia, projects to the interior of the Eagles’ offensive line. On the surface, he should only have one year of eligibility, but medical redshirts could be on the cards for more years available to him.
