Accounting practice Forvis Mazars has appointed Garrett Gluth as managing director of its healthcare practice.
Gluth will oversee tax and compliance work for nonprofit healthcare clients throughout the United States.

Gluth is a certified public accountant and attorney. He joins the company after a 16-year career with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), where he held several senior executive positions.
His responsibilities at the IRS included helping draft regulations and implementing tax rules for nonprofit organizations. He was involved in the redesign of Form 990 reporting for hospitals and led extensive tax compliance initiatives.
Gluth helped draft Section 501(r), which establishes legal obligations for tax-exempt hospital organizations.
During his tenure at the IRS, he also led the implementation of complex tax provisions related to opportunity zones, digital assets, clean energy, excise taxes, as well as a variety of credits and deductions.
