As a sophomore last season, Wilkinson was one of the nation’s top scorers. He was a coveted prospect in the transfer portal. Last season he averaged 17.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game for Georgia. He shot just 41.0% from the field, but he was the heartbeat of a Georgia offense that finished No. 5 nationally in points per game (89.4).

Unfortunately, the Bulldogs fell apart once the regular season ended. The Ole Miss Rebels beat them 76-72 in the SEC Tournament, and in the round of 16 of March Madness, the Saint Louis Billikens dominated Georgia 102-77. Still, Wilkinson showed up in March Madness, scoring 30 points on 9-of-21 shooting. However, it was too little, too late.
Wilkinson began his college career with the California Bears. He transferred to Georgia after being named ACC Sixth Man of the Year. Wilkinson leaves UGA after one season and will be at his third school in three years with Arkansas.
He now goes to an Arkansas Razorbacks team that won the SEC Tournament last season, but is looking for a deeper run in March Madness. They reached the Sweet Sixteen, but lost to the No. 1 seed Arizona Wildcats 109-88.

However, Arkansas head coach John Calipari gets the most out of his guards. During his time with the Kentucky Wildcats, he developed several guards into NBA lottery picks, such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Devin Booker and Jamal Murray. Most recently, he helped develop Darius Acuff, who is expected to be a top pick in the 2026 NBA draft.
Georgia can take a bit of losing Jeremiah Wilkinson as Smurf Millender and Blue Cain return for next season. However, the departure of center back Somto Cyril leaves a big void. His interior defense earned him a spot on the SEC All-Defensive team last season. Georgia has yet to make an additional transfer.
