Five-star senior quarterback Jared Curtis will reveal his college destination sooner than planned.

Curtis, who is committed to Georgia football but is reportedly considering a transfer to Vanderbilt, moved the signing day ceremony to Dec. 3. The signing was originally scheduled to take place on December 5, the last day of the initial period.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound dual-threat prospect is the No. 1 quarterback nationally and No. 4 overall player in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Curtis’ agent, Peter Webb of QB Reps, would not confirm whether Curtis will clarify where his recruitment stands before the ceremony.

Further: Is Jared Curtis switching to Vanderbilt football? what we know

Vanderbilt football’s courtship of Nashville Christian’s nation’s top quarterback has dominated headlines since he visited a Vanderbilt practice on Oct. 22 and days later attended the Commodores’ home game against Missouri.

A source close to the situation told the Tennessean that while Curtis and Vanderbilt have spoken, the narrative that he will turn to the Commodores is inaccurate. Vanderbilt staff have never spoken to Curtis’ parents, according to the source.

Several recruiting experts believe Curtis intends to commit to Vanderbilt. Rival recruiters Steve Wiltfong and 247Sports reporter Tom Loy recorded official predictions that Curtis will move on from Georgia.

Curtis’ adjustment of his schedule will allow him to put the decision behind him before Nashville Christian’s Dec. 4 game against USJ in the Division II-A state championship game of the TSSAA football playoffs in Chattanooga.
