Before the trip, Bayern board member Max Eberl spoke to the media about Kane’s situation.

“He did everything he could to be a part of this and participated in the last training session,” Eberl said.
“Whether ‘Vinny’ (Kompany) plays with him or not is his decision. But he is with the team and that gives a good feeling.”
“We can travel there with confidence”
Eberl also shared his thoughts on the big game ahead.
“Real Madrid vs. FC Bayern has a special intensity. They are the two teams with the most victories in the Champions League, including the European Cup,” he said.
Bayern have not won any of their last eight Champions League games against the 15-time European champions, but Eberl believes there is a real opportunity to change that.

“The boys have put themselves in a position in which we can travel with confidence, with the humility that the Bernabéu and our rival always demand. We are looking forward to it, with a healthy tension.
“It’s just about doing what we can, and we can do a lot. We’ve earned that trust.”
