‘Hell just froze over’: Talk show announces Marjorie Taylor Greene as guest

“The View” announced Thursday that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) will be a guest next Tuesday, Election Day. (Watch the videos below).

Whoopi Goldberg revealed the development on air, and a promo also announced the MAGA firebrand’s arrival on the daytime talk show that is widely considered liberal.

“Hell froze over!” a spectator declared in X.

“I’m happy to say she’ll be here Tuesday,” co-host Goldberg said. “I don’t know how many things we agree on, but I know the only thing she and I and everyone around this table agree on is that (the shutdown) should not affect the American people.”

Greene confirmed her surprise visit in a social media post (with a clip of Goldberg’s announcement) and then picked apart objections from “Republican men.”

“There are pathetic Republican men (mostly paid social media influencers) attacking me for going on the Bill Maher show and The View,” she wrote. “Here is my voter card and nothing has changed about me, I am 1,000,000% JUST America. I’m sorry, I’m not sorry, I don’t obey the demands of Republican men that I, as a woman, am not seen and not heard.”

The “View” episode is likely to be a ratings hit, giving Greene a big platform to be heard.

Some cracks have emerged in his Donald Trump-devoting armor lately. He has pushed for Jeffrey Epstein’s files to be made public. During the current shutdown, he has sided with Democrats negotiating to keep Obamacare subsidies alive to prevent massive premium increases for consumers. At the same time, Greene has chastised the GOP and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) for not unveiling a health care alternative.

“View” hosts recently said they would like to have more Republican company on the show, but are often rebuffed, Variety reported.
