Inspiration Mining has contracted Flamingo Drilling to begin diamond drilling at its Rottenstone North Gold-Copper project located in northern Saskatchewan, Canada.

The initiative will focus on exploring volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) targets for copper, zinc, lead, silver and gold along the project’s southeastern boundary.

Drill sites were selected based on geophysical anomalies and structural corridors aligned with Ramp Metals’ Rush copper-zinc-silver discovery located on the adjacent Rottenstone SW property.

The company prioritized targets using regional geological analysis, structural interpretations, satellite-derived data and proximity to known mineral trends.

Inspiration Mining is a major landowner in what is becoming a prominent gold and VMS exploration district in Canada, with sole ownership of approximately 35,500 hectares in the Rottenstone Gold/Copper Camp.

This strategically located project aligns with recent finds, such as Ramp Metals’ Rush Target, and benefits from advanced satellite data that identifies multiple gold and copper targets.

The Rottenstone North Project covers 4,512ha, while the acquisition of the Rottenstone West Project expands the total area to 35,500ha.

These projects are located to the west and southwest of Ramp Metals’ Rush and Ranger discoveries.

Situated along northeast-southwest geological structures, the Rottenstone projects feature high-grade finds, including significant gold and copper samples.

The Rottenstone West Project identified several massive sulfide deposits in the 1950s, but the area has not been explored using modern methods.

In July 2025, an advanced atomic mineral resonance tomography study outlined high-priority gold and copper targets along the project’s eastern boundary. These targets align with regional trends and are consistent with nearby Ramp discoveries.

The company’s next drilling program will investigate these targets.

Inspiration Mining CEO Charles Desjardins said: “These are very exciting times for Inspiration. We have methodically developed a comprehensive drilling plan over the past year and have reached an important milestone. We have also maintained a relatively tight share structure ahead of this drilling campaign.

“May 2026 will be the most important time in the company’s history to date and we are very optimistic about the planned drilling program.

“Our direct neighbor, Ramp Metals, recently announced (see Ramp press release dated April 15, 2026) that they have achieved mineralization in all nine holes drilled in close proximity to the planned Inspiration drilling program.”
